Hart Materials announces a huge increase in its recent export sales with the last quarter of the 2016/17 financial year still to go.
Sales between April 2015 and March 2016 amounted to 17% of total turnover, whereas from April 2016 to the end of the year, the figure has risen to a staggering 51%.
Managing Director, Dr. Tony Hart, comments, “These results are extremely encouraging and confirm that our increased investment in export marketing was the right strategy to take.”
“We took the plunge by commissioning a brand new internationally-focused website with Bridgnorth-based web developers ‘Clickingmad’, and also began working closely with the Department for International Trade.”
Hart Materials has been selling high performance metals, metallic composite products and chemicals for advanced technology applications throughout Europe for thirty six years.
More recently, the company has expanded further into Central European countries, such as the Czech Republic, the Slovak Republic, Poland and Bulgaria, as well as far-flung markets such as India and Turkey.
Dr. Hart concludes, “This demonstrates that even small companies can export successfully, as long as they are prepared to bring in expertise from outside and tap into services made readily available by organisations such as the Department for International Trade.”
