This is a bright, visually attractive flake made from UNS S31603 austenitic stainless steel. It is has full leafing qualities and is used primarily as it combines decorative benefits together with the very high corrosion resistance of this grade of stainless steel.
It is suitable for use in solvent-based paints, organic powder coating systems and printing inks. Powder-coating systems containing this grade of flake have been used in external atmospheric environments for many years.
