Silver-Coated Glass Granules

The advantage of glass granules over smooth spheres is that when an elastomer gasket or adhesive needs to penetrate through a metal oxide layer in order to get good electrical contact, the sharp edges of the granules are preferred.

Typical metal contact surfaces with oxide layers include aluminum, steel, and chromate coated metals.
