• Silver-Coated Glass Flakes

Flake materials are excellent in terms of producing high levels of electrical conductivity, particularly in thin coating systems since the flakes are able to lie parallel to the coating.

The four flake products available have densities in the region of 3.5 microns and excellent aspect ratios with particle sizes varying from 5 to 35 microns and thicknesses as low as 0.7 microns.

Applications:

  • EMI shielding coatings
  • Conductive adhesive films
  • Conductive inks

Advantages:

  • High conductivity in thin films at low loading
  • Possible replacement of 100% pure silver in certain applications
  • One third the density of pure silver
