• Chemical Silver Spraying

Soluble silver salts, such as nitrate, can be reduced to metallic silver by processes that have been widely known for many years. However, using process tanks containing silver solutions is an expensive method with some associated health hazards.

As a result, applying these solutions using conventional air-spray equipment has become increasingly popular, both in terms of cost and safety.

Of course, the excellent visual quality of chemical silver spraying is particularly suited to decorative applications.

Although, thin silver films can also be applied to the surface of non-conductive materials to enable thicker coatings of other metals to be electrodeposited. This is standard practice in high-precision uses such as hologram production.
