NOVAMET and INCO Electrically Conductive Products |
NOVAMET Conductive Nickel Flake Grade HCA-1 Since its introduction in 1977 this material has achieved an excellent record for high performance combined with consistency and reliability. It has become the material of choice for manufacturing organic-based electrically conductive coatings that can fully current requirements for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) - such as those found in EU Directive EEC/336/89. NOVAMET Conductive Nickel Flake HCA-1 is compatible with both solvent and water based paint systems as well as with conductive ink and adhesive formulations. The product gives smooth, semi-lustrous coatings that can be applied in very thin layers since the flakes are less than 1 µm thick.
| NOVAMET Type 525 Conductive Nickel Powder This is a high purity filamentary nickel powder produced by the nickel carbonyl process. It is specially screened to optimise size distribution profile. The three dimensional branched structure maximises particle-to-particle contact. The product is available in two grades - 525 Regular and 525 Low Density. NOVAMET Type 525 Conductive Nickel Powder is used for the production of conductive paints. It is therefore a complimentary material to HCA-1 Flake. It is often used in situations where relatively thick coatings are required. | |
| INCO Type 255 and Type 287 Nickel Powders INCO Type 255 and Type 287 nickel powders are also high purity, filamentary carbonyl-nickel powders. The two available grades differ mainly in respect of their apparent densities - Type 287 at 0.75 - 0.95 g/cm3
- Type 255 at 0.50 -0.65 g/cm3.
INCO Nickel Powders Type 255 and Type 287 are also suited to the production of conductive paints. They therefore offer additional alternatives to HCA-1 flakes and Type 525 nickel powders, thus providing coating formulators with yet further pigment choices for this important application. | NOVAMET Conductive Nickel Spheres (CNS) NOVAMET also produces a range of high purity spherical nickel powders used in electrically conductive applications. These products have a very tightly controlled particle size distribution together with regular and smooth morphology. Two separate size grades are available: - Minus 37 microns
- Minus 10 microns
Conductive nickel spherical powders are useful where the small particle size is essential, for example in screen printing applications.
Packaging All of these materials are available in standard 5 Kg and 25 Kg packs. |
